Salem is geared to become a premier Christmas destination north of Boston

Halloween may be over, but it doesn't mean the fun has to stop in Salem. Destination Salem added new events and traditions this year to make sure the city keeps it's status of a tourist magnet way past October. There is lots you can do here for the winter holidays: ride around with Scroodge on a trolley; enjoy unique exhibits and kids activities at Peabody Essex Museum; visit twelve mansions decked out for the holidays; see the newest Salem Christmas tradition at the House of Seven Gables; and celebrate Christmas the old-fashioned way at the Old Town Hall.
