The sites and true tales of bloody betrayal, disastrous shipwrecks and gruesome executions come to light this Halloween as Boston Ghost Cruises return to sail Boston Harbor. Learn what has been lurking in the shadows of Boston’s past and creep back to the days when smugglers, pirates, patriots, plunderers, redcoats, wreckers, and wraiths ruled the seas.
Boston Ghost Cruises will creep across Boston Harbor on October 24, 30 and 31, 2009. These frightfully exciting journeys offer terrifying encounters with Ghosts and Ghouls, dragging some of Boston’s oldest skeletons out of the closet.
The production was written and directed by David Stickney, creator of the New England Pirate Fare and Castle of the Damned at Hammond Castle in Gloucester. The shows are produced by David Goldstein, founder of Comedy Theater Productions and producer of The Mystery Café. The Boston Ghost Cruise recreates the stories of actual haunted sites in Boston Harbor in a way that gives an all too real experience that is both enlightening and entertaining. Seven shows are scheduled including a family friendly show on Halloween night at 6:30 p.m.
The audience is guaranteed to scream and shriek as the darker side of Boston comes to life with a professional group of “Ghouls” who will spook the crowd with the legends of the city. There is no scarier way to spend Halloween than to hear the lap of the water against the hull of the ship, feel the salt air in the harbor, view crumbling fortresses, or islands and jagged rocks where so many have perished and some have returned from their watery graves…
The Boston Ghost Cruise runs Saturday, October 24 at 7 & 9 p.m., Friday, October 30th at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 31st at 6:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets for Boston Ghost Cruises are available at http://www.bostonghostcruise.com/ or by calling 781-784-SHOW. Tickets are $32 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under.
Boats board shortly before departure time. Discounted parking is available at the 75 State Street garage at Broad Street and just a short walk from Long Wharf The Boston Ghost Cruises are accessible by public transportation, taking the MBTA Blue Line to the Aquarium stop.
