Next free family Play Date at The Institute of Contemporary Art museum is on Halloween

Families can visit the ICA on a Play Date, held on the last Saturday of each month for free (up to two adults per family with children 12 and under). Play Dates can include films, performance, art-making activities, gallery tours, and more. All activities are designed for children and adults to do together. No prior registration is necessary, but families are encouraged to arrive early to take full advantage of the day's events.

Next Play Date 'Halloween Moves' will be held on October 31. Prizes will be awarded for creative, kid-made costumes (made in advance and worn to the museum.) Discover the originality of contemporary artists on your own or with gallery activities. Still feeling adventuresome? Show your moves, while exploring gravity, the physics of changing positions and locations, along with some kinetic surprises with our guest artists.

The ICA is located at 100 Northern Avenue on Boston’s waterfront, adjacent to Anthony’s Pier 4 restaurant. It is a short walk from downtown and easily accessible by public transportation. There is affordable parking in the area, but fewer spots may be available in lots immediately adjacent to the ICA after 5 pm. There is some on-street parking.
