Summer fine dining family-style at Aura

Aura expands their popular Fine Dining, “Family-Style” program with a special summer series. On three Fridays, Aura invites families to enjoy exceptional food in a setting where it’s ok for kids to act like kids. Beginning July 17, Aura is turning their dining room into a classroom with special guests to lead children in a discussion, activity or lesson, while parents relax with a sophisticated meal. The summer schedule includes:

Friday, July 17 – Roxbury native and children’s Author/ Illustrator Mary Newell dePalma who will lead an activity and share from her book, Grand Old Tree – a lovely story of the life-cycle of the dogwood tree through pictures.

Friday, July 31 – Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Animal specialists from Zoo New England (Franklin Park/Stone Zoo) bring the zoo to Aura for a night of animals and entertainment.

Friday, August 14 – Chef Rachel Klein takes guests on a tour of her herb garden on the terrace of the Seaport Hotel. At the end of the tour, Rachel will plant with the children and everyone will leave with their own potted herb.

Grownups select from a $30 prix fixe menu, while children enjoy their own menu of healthy kid-friendly favorites.
